Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) bowl Cool Whip
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. gelatin
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1 basket fresh strawberries, washed, drained, hulled and cut up in quarters

Method

  • Clean strawberries and cut in quarters.
  • Sprinkle with sugar. Set to one side until sugar is dissolved.
  • Take potato masher and mash up strawberries.
  • Soften gelatin in water in a cup; dissolve until clear.
  • Stir into strawberries.
  • Chill and when partially set, fold in Cool Whip.
  • Spread on top and sides of angel food cake.
  • Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
