- 2 lb. stew beef, cut in 1-inch cubes
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 28 oz. can tomato sauce
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. light molasses or corn syrup
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 2 c. raw sliced carrots
- 1 sliced onion
- 1 large green pepper, cut up
Method
- Brown meat in hot oil in skillet.
- Transfer to slow cooker. Add all remaining ingredients, mixing well.
- Cook 6 to 7 hours on low or 4 hours on high.
- Yields 4 to 6 servings.
