Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 egg (beat in 1 c. milk)
Method
- Sift
- together dry ingredients; cut in shortening.
- Add egg beaten in milk to dry ingredients. Knead lightly and wrap tightly in plastic
- bag.
- Chill
- in
- refrigerator at least 2 hours. Roll
- dough
- thin; fill
- with
- cold
- fruit (canned or dried). Fry in cooking oil on medium heat until brown on both sides. (Pies should be a half-moon shape.)
