Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 can chicken gumbo soup
  • 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. catsup
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 1/4 c. butter, softened

Method

  • Brown ground beef with onion in skillet, stirring until ground beef is crumbly; drain.
  • Add soup, prepared mustard, catsup, salt and pepper; mix well.
  • Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes or until flavors are blended, stirring occasionally.
  • Toast and butter buns.
  • Serve ground beef mixture on buns.
  • May top with lettuce, if desired. Yield:
  • 6 servings.
