Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 can chicken gumbo soup
- 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- 2 Tbsp. catsup
- salt and pepper to taste
- 6 hamburger buns
- 1/4 c. butter, softened
Method
- Brown ground beef with onion in skillet, stirring until ground beef is crumbly; drain.
- Add soup, prepared mustard, catsup, salt and pepper; mix well.
- Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes or until flavors are blended, stirring occasionally.
- Toast and butter buns.
- Serve ground beef mixture on buns.
- May top with lettuce, if desired. Yield:
- 6 servings.
