Ingredients

  • 1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) fryer, cut up
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 18 oz. hickory smoke barbecue sauce (Kraft)
  • 3 Tbsp. picante sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper

Method

  • Put flour, salt and cut up chicken in brown sack.
  • Close tightly and shake chicken pieces good.
  • Fry in hot shortening or oil of your choice.
  • When browned, remove to paper towel on platter.
  • Mix remaining ingredients.
  • Dip each piece of chicken into sauce while hot.
  • Then place in roasting pan.
  • Leave open. Bake for 20 minutes in 375° oven.
