Ingredients

  • 6 medium green bell peppers
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1 lb. can tomatoes, crushed
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 oz. sharp cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Cook beef and onion until meat is lightly browned; drain. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add tomatoes, water, rice and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Cover and simmer the mixture until rice is tender, about 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add 4 ounces of cheese; stir well.
