Ingredients
- 6 medium green bell peppers
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 1 lb. can tomatoes, crushed
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 6 oz. sharp cheese, grated
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Cook beef and onion until meat is lightly browned; drain. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add tomatoes, water, rice and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cover and simmer the mixture until rice is tender, about 15 to 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Add 4 ounces of cheese; stir well.
