Ingredients
- 3 lb. boneless pork chops
- 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 3 c. boiling water
- 1 can applesauce
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. oil
Method
- Preheat oven to 425°.
- In a well heated skillet brown pork chops on both sides well (coat pan with 2 to 3 tablespoons oil). Arrange browned chops in a baking dish.
- Saute garlic in fat left in skillet chops were browned in.
- Add flour, salt and pepper. Mix well.
- Add water; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and is thick.
- Add applesauce and lemon juice.
- Mix.
- Pour over chops.
- Bake for 1 hour or until tender.
