Ingredients

  • 8 oz. pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 16 oz. can tomatoes
  • 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. oregano leaves
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 12 oz. carton cottage cheese
  • 12 oz. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

Method

  • Cook and drain lasagna noodles.
  • Brown meat; drain.
  • Add onion, tomatoes, tomato paste, cottage cheese and seasonings. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • In 9 x 13-inch pan, layer half of noodles, meat sauce, Mozzarella cheese, Velveeta cheese and Parmesan cheese.
  • Repeat layers.
  • Save enough sauce to put on top. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
  • Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Slice the Velveeta cheese in thin slices.
