- 8 oz. pkg. lasagna noodles
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 16 oz. can tomatoes
- 6 oz. can tomato paste
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 2 tsp. oregano leaves
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. garlic salt
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 12 oz. carton cottage cheese
- 12 oz. Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
Method
- Cook and drain lasagna noodles.
- Brown meat; drain.
- Add onion, tomatoes, tomato paste, cottage cheese and seasonings. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
- In 9 x 13-inch pan, layer half of noodles, meat sauce, Mozzarella cheese, Velveeta cheese and Parmesan cheese.
- Repeat layers.
- Save enough sauce to put on top. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
- Slice the Velveeta cheese in thin slices.
