Ingredients

  • 4 sq. Baker's unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 c. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwavable bowl on High 1 minute or until butter is melted.
  • Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
  • Stir in sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth. Let stand, if necessary, until of spreading consistency, spreading occasionally.
  • Spread quickly.
  • (Add 2 to 3 tablespoons additional milk if frosting becomes too thick.)
  • Makes about 2 1/2 cups or enough to frost tops and sides of 2 (8 to 9-inch) layer cakes.
