Ingredients
- 1 pkg. devil's food cake mix
- 2/3 c. cooking oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 9 oz. chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 c. pecans, broken
- 1 pkg. instant chocolate pudding mix
Method
- In large bowl, combine the cake mix, oil, baking powder and eggs.
- Prepare pudding mix according to directions on the package. Add the pudding to the cake mixture and stir together.
- Pour into well oiled 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
- Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts.
- Bake at 350° for 40 minutes on lowest shelf in the oven.
- Sometimes I mix the chocolate chips and nuts with the batter and frost the cake with buttercream frosting.
- It is yummy either way, but has a tendency to fall.
- If this is a problem, make cupcakes instead.
