Ingredients
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. milk
- 3 slightly beaten egg yolks
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. heavy cream, whipped (sweetened to taste with powdered sugar)
- 2 medium ripe sliced bananas
- 1 c. heavy cream, whipped
Method
- Combine sugar, flour, cornstarch and salt.
- Gradually stir in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and thickens. Stir a little of the hot mixture into the egg yolk and return to hot mixture.
- Stirring constantly, bring just to boiling. Cool thoroughly. Beat well with electric mixer.
- Add vanilla. Fold in whipped cream.
