Ingredients
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 4 oz. (4 sq.) unsweetened chocolate
- 2 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 eggs
- powdered sugar
Method
- In large saucepan over low heat, melt margarine and chocolate, stirring constantly until smooth.
- Remove from heat; cool slightly.
- Stir in flour, sugar, nuts, baking powder, salt and eggs; mix well.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
- Heat oven to 300°.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
- Roll in powdered sugar, coating heavily.
- Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 300° for 13 to 18 minutes, or until set.
- Immediately remove from cookie sheet.
- Cool completely.
- Yields 4 dozen.
