Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. quick-cook oatmeal
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 3/4 c. margarine
- 1 can apple pie filling
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Method
- Combine flour, oats, brown sugar and nutmeg in mixing bowl. Cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press half of mixture into bottom of 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
- Bake 5 minutes.
- Remove from oven and spread apple pie filling mixed with cinnamon over crust.
- Sprinkle with remaining oat mixture, pat lightly.
- Continue baking 25 minutes or until lightly brown.
- Cool and cut into bars.
- Makes 24 servings.
- Freezes well.
