Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. cornstarch
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 3 c. Carnation milk
  • 3 c. water
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine
  • 2 deep dish or 3 regular pie crusts

Method

  • Mix sugar, cornstarch and cocoa together real well.
  • Add milk and water.
  • Stir together good.
  • Add eggs and salt.
  • Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens.
  • Remove from heat and with electric mixer, beat real good, adding margarine and vanilla as you beat.
  • Pour into baked pie shells.
