Ingredients

  • 1 qt. water and 3 chicken bouillon cubes (equals 1 qt. chicken broth)
  • 3 Tbsp. oleo
  • 1/2 c. shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 c. sliced carrots
  • 1/2 c. sliced celery
  • 1/2 c. sliced onion
  • 1 c. diced potatoes
  • 8 slices American cheese or 6 oz.

Method

  • Melt the oleo in skillet.
  • Saute the cabbage, carrots, celery and onion until tender.
  • Add to the chicken broth.
  • Simmer for about 1 hour.
  • Add the potatoes and cook until tender.
  • Add the cheese and melt thoroughly.
