Ingredients
- 1 qt. water and 3 chicken bouillon cubes (equals 1 qt. chicken broth)
- 3 Tbsp. oleo
- 1/2 c. shredded cabbage
- 1/2 c. sliced carrots
- 1/2 c. sliced celery
- 1/2 c. sliced onion
- 1 c. diced potatoes
- 8 slices American cheese or 6 oz.
Method
- Melt the oleo in skillet.
- Saute the cabbage, carrots, celery and onion until tender.
- Add to the chicken broth.
- Simmer for about 1 hour.
- Add the potatoes and cook until tender.
- Add the cheese and melt thoroughly.
