Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. flour, separated
  • 1 Tbsp. confectioners sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 c. shredded coconut
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Mix 1/2 cup flour, confectioners sugar and butter well. Spread in greased 9-inch square baking pan.
  • Bake at 425° until brown.
  • Mix remaining 1/4 cup flour with remaining ingredients. Pour over hot crust and bake at 400° for about 20 minutes.
  • Cool and cut into squares.
