Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 3/4 c. powdered sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 Tbsp. canned milk
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Cream the butter and sugar well.
  • Add eggs, one at a time. Mix dry ingredients or sift together.
  • Add 3 cups of the flour alternately with the canned milk. Add vanilla. The other 1 cup of flour should be used on rolling surface.
  • Bake about 8 to 10 minutes in a 350° oven.
  • (If this browns cookies too rapidly, reduce to 325°.)
  • Cool and frost.
