Ingredients
- 5 c. flour
- 1/4 pkg. dry yeast
- 3 or 4 zucchini
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 1 1/4 c. water
- 1 egg yolk, beaten
- 1 c. walnuts, chopped
Method
- Wash and cut the ends off the zucchini.
- Grate the zucchini in a large bowl.
- Then sprinkle the salt onto the zucchini.
- Let it sit for 30 minutes.
- When the time is up, squeeze the zucchini and the salt together.
- Mix the yeast and tepid water in a different bowl and add flour.
- Mix in the zucchini mixture and let the batter rise in a warm place.
- After dough has risen, fold in the chopped nuts and pour the egg yolk on top of the dough.
- Bake in 425° oven for 40 or 45 minutes.
