Ingredients
- 1 German chocolate cake mix
- 1 pkg. Kraft caramels
- 1/2 c. butter (not margarine)
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1 c. chocolate chips
Method
- Mix cake as directed on box.
- Bake half the batter for 15 minutes at 350° in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Cool completely.
- Mix caramels, butter and milk; melt.
- Pour over baked, cooled cake. Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
- Cover with remaining batter.
- Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.
