Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 c. tomato sauce
  • 1 c. taco sauce *
  • 1 c. water
  • 6 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 16 oz. red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 small can Brooks chili beans (with sauce)
  • 1 Tbsp. onion, minced
  • 1/2 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp. cumin
  • 1 c. celery, chopped
  • 1 c. mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper

Method

  • Brown and drain turkey.
  • Add tomato sauce, taco sauce, water and chili powder.
  • Heat and stir until bubbling.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Add beans, onion, garlic powder and cumin. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Add celery, mushrooms and cayenne. Simmer for another 15 minutes.
  • (Add more water if too thick.)
