Ingredients

  • 15 ounces, weight Tuna In Water, Drained
  • 1/4 cups Finely Chopped Red Pepper
  • 1 whole Shallot, Chopped
  • 1/4 cups Chopped Parsley
  • 2 Tablespoons Drained Capers
  • 3/4 cups Hummus
  • 2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard
  • 1/2 Lemon, Juiced
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 8 slices Rye Bread
  • 16 slices Tomato
  • 8 pieces Dill Havarti Cheese

Method

  • Preheat the broiler.
  • Place the drained tuna in a bowl and break up with a fork.
  • Add the red pepper, shallot, parsley, capers, hummus, mustard, and juice.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Taste for seasoning and add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Spread a thick layer of the tuna on the rye bread, top with tomato slices and cheese.
  • Place on a foil-lined tray under the broiler.
  • Heat until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.
