Ingredients

  • 2 c. pretzels, coarsely crushed
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3/4 c. margarine, melted
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen sliced strawberries, thawed

Method

  • Mix together pretzels, margarine and 3 tablespoons sugar. Press into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Bake at 400° for 8 minutes.
  • Cool. Beat cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until well blended.
  • Stir in whipped topping and spread on crust.
  • Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; stir in strawberries.
  • Let stand for 10 minutes.
  • Pour on top of cheese mixture and chill.
