Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. squash
  • 1 can water chestnuts, sliced
  • 2 medium onions, chopped fine
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. stuffing (bread crumbs)
  • 1 stick margarine

Method

  • Melt margarine and add stuffing mix and put about 3/4 stuffing mix into 2-quart pan.
  • Cook squash until tender (steam).
  • Mix squash with sour cream, onions, soup and water chestnuts.
  • Layer squash mixture on top of stuffing.
  • Sprinkle remaining stuffing on top.
  • Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
