Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. squash
- 1 can water chestnuts, sliced
- 2 medium onions, chopped fine
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. stuffing (bread crumbs)
- 1 stick margarine
Method
- Melt margarine and add stuffing mix and put about 3/4 stuffing mix into 2-quart pan.
- Cook squash until tender (steam).
- Mix squash with sour cream, onions, soup and water chestnuts.
- Layer squash mixture on top of stuffing.
- Sprinkle remaining stuffing on top.
- Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
