Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 3 qt. water
- 7 large family size tea bags
- 2 (12 oz.) cans frozen orange juice
- 1 large can pineapple juice
- 1/2 c. frozen lemon juice (not lemonade; Minute Maid is best)
- 2 sticks cinnamon
- 15 whole allspice
- 10 whole cloves
Method
- Mix sugar, water and tea bags in large pan.
- Heat until hot but not boiling
- and
- add
- orange
- juice
- (adding required water as noted on
- cans), pineapple juice, lemon juice, cinnamon, allspice and cloves.
- Now bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for about an hour. Spices will
- settle to the bottom, so you will need to strain
- tea
- to
- remove all at once.
- This makes about 1 1/2 to 2 gallons and will keep in refrigerator.
