Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 qt. water
  • 7 large family size tea bags
  • 2 (12 oz.) cans frozen orange juice
  • 1 large can pineapple juice
  • 1/2 c. frozen lemon juice (not lemonade; Minute Maid is best)
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 15 whole allspice
  • 10 whole cloves

Method

  • Mix sugar, water and tea bags in large pan.
  • Heat until hot but not boiling
  • and
  • add
  • orange
  • juice
  • (adding required water as noted on
  • cans), pineapple juice, lemon juice, cinnamon, allspice and cloves.
  • Now bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for about an hour. Spices will
  • settle to the bottom, so you will need to strain
  • tea
  • to
  • remove all at once.
  • This makes about 1 1/2 to 2 gallons and will keep in refrigerator.
