Ingredients
- 1/2 c. soft shortening (Crisco)
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. thick sour cream (8 oz.)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 3/4 c. flour, sifted
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Method
- Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
- Add vanilla and sour cream. Mix well.
- Mix all dry ingredients together.
- Add slowly to shortening mixture and blend well.
- Refrigerate at least 1 hour. Drop by rounded teaspoon about 2-inches apart on foil lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 350° until lightly browned or when lightly touched until finger almost no imprint remains.
