Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs (save 1 white)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg white, beaten stiff
Method
- Cream butter and add white sugar.
- Add eggs and mix well.
- Add dry ingredients and mix.
- Add vanilla and blend.
- Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Sprinkle nuts over top.
- Cover with topping made by beaten egg white and brown sugar.
- Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until brown.
- Serve while warm.
