Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 c. sliced celery
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 3/4 c. undrained kidney beans
- 4 c. undrained tomatoes
- 1 1/2 to 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 to 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 bay leaf
Method
- Brown meat and onion in Dutch oven.
- Drain off all fat.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Simmer, covered, for 1 to 2 hours.
- Remove bay leaf.
- Serve hot.
- This dish freezes well.
