Ingredients
- 6 slices bread
- butter
- 1 lb. bulk pork sausage
- 6 oz. mild Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 6 eggs, well beaten
- 2 c. half and half
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
Method
- Remove crusts from bread; butter.
- Place in greased dish. Brown sausage.
- Crumble and drain.
- Sprinkle bread with cheese. Combine eggs, salt and pepper.
- Mix. Pour over cheese.
- Cover and chill overnight.
- Remove from refrigerator fifteen minutes before baking.
- Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until set.
- Serves 8.
