Ingredients

  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 2 (3 1/2 oz.) boxes instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 (16 oz.) can cherry pie mix
  • 1 (16 oz.) can fruit cocktail
  • 1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2 (8 oz.) cartons whipped topping
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chopped pecans
  • 1 (7 oz.) pkg. flaked coconut

Method

  • Prepare cake mix per directions.
  • Bake in 3 (9-inch) layer pans (layers will be thinner).
  • Set aside to cool.
  • Mix pudding according to directions.
  • Refrigerate to set.
  • Using 1/3 of each of the ingredients in order begin to layer them in 1 large glass punch bowl, starting with the cake:
  • 1 (9-inch) cake (broken into pieces), 1/3 cherry pie filling, 1/3 fruit cocktail, 1/3 pineapple, 1/3 topping and 1/3 coconut.
  • Repeat 2 more times.
  • Refrigerate until served.
  • Serves 35.
