Ingredients

  • 3 or 4 oz. can coconut
  • 1 German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 (8 oz.) block cream cheese
  • 1 stick melted butter

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Grease and flour 9 x 13-inch cake pan. Mix coconut and pecans; spread on bottom of pan.
  • Mix cake according to directions on box; pour mix over the coconut and pecans.
  • Mix cream cheese, melted butter and sugar; spoon on top of cake mix.
  • Bake for 45 to 55 minutes or until it passes the toothpick test.
