Ingredients
- 4 to 5 potatoes, cubed
- 1 medium diced onion
- 4 stalks celery, diced
- 2 qt. water
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 egg
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. water
Method
- Heat water in soup kettle.
- Add potatoes, onion and celery. Cook 1/2 to 1 hour, then mash a few times.
- Beat egg, salt and water together in small bowl.
- Slowly add flour.
- Mixture will be gooey.
- Drop by teaspoon into boiling soup mixture.
- The dough will drop to bottom of kettle, then rise to the top.
