Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. canned pumpkin
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 ??? vegetable oil
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. raisins
  • 1/3 c. margarine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 3/4 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. hot water

Method

  • Heat oven to 350°.
  • Grease and flour a 9-inch square pan. Beat together eggs, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup sugar, oil and pumpkin.
  • In a separate bowl mix together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, salt and nutmeg.
  • Add to egg mixture.
  • Stir well.
  • Mix in raisins and nuts.
  • Pour into pan and bake for 35 minutes.
  • Cool.
  • Mix together margarine, vanilla, powdered sugar and hot water until creamy.
  • Spread over cool cake.
  • Cut into bars and refrigerate.
