- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. canned pumpkin
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/4 c. chopped nuts
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 ??? vegetable oil
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. raisins
- 1/3 c. margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 3/4 c. powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. hot water
Method
- Heat oven to 350°.
- Grease and flour a 9-inch square pan. Beat together eggs, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup sugar, oil and pumpkin.
- In a separate bowl mix together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, salt and nutmeg.
- Add to egg mixture.
- Stir well.
- Mix in raisins and nuts.
- Pour into pan and bake for 35 minutes.
- Cool.
- Mix together margarine, vanilla, powdered sugar and hot water until creamy.
- Spread over cool cake.
- Cut into bars and refrigerate.
