Ingredients
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. cake flour
- chopped nuts (from yield of 1 lb. unshelled filberts)
Method
- Chop nuts fine with food processor; soften butter.
- Add sugar and vanilla.
- Mix together all ingredients.
- Roll between sheets of waxed paper.
- Chill if dough gets sticky.
- Don't add more flour.
- A little powdered sugar will do.
- Cut in fancy shapes.
- Bake 12 minutes at 300° to a light brown.
- Cool and decorate with pink and green icing.
