Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 c. salted peanuts (Planters)
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Place sugar, corn syrup and water in 2-quart casserole.
- Cook on High in microwave (750 watts) 5 minutes.
- Stir.
- Add peanuts. Continue on High 13 to 15 minutes or until syrup separates into threads.
- Stir in melted butter, baking soda and vanilla just until light and bubbly.
- Pour into cookie sheet (Teflon coated). Spread.
- Cool for approximately 1 hour and break into pieces. Makes 1 1/4 pounds.
