Ingredients

  • 1 package Penne Pasta, 16 Ounce Package
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Red Wine
  • 1 can (8 Oz. Size) Tomato Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano Or Italian Seasoning
  • 1 can 15.5 Oz Can Butter Beans, Liquid Included
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • Shaved Parmesan, Optional For Serving

Method

  • Bring a medium saucepan of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to the packet directions.
  • Meanwhile, place garlic in a saucepan over medium heat with a little olive oil and cook garlic for 1-2 minutes.
  • When garlic is cooked to your liking, place wine, tomato paste, seasoning, beans and the bean liquid from the can in the same saucepan with the garlic.
  • Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes or until the sauce is starting to thicken.
  • When pasta is cooked, drain it and add to the sauce.
  • Stir together until everything is hot.
  • Taste and season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve with Parmesan shavings on top
