Ingredients

  • 1 medium cabbage, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 2 medium onions, diced
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • pimentos (optional)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. salad oil
  • 1 c. cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar

Method

  • Combine chopped cabbage, onions and green pepper.
  • Add 1 cup sugar and blend well.
  • Combine remaining ingredients and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • Pour dressing over cabbage mixture and allow to cool.
  • Cover and store in refrigerator for at least 1 day before serving.
  • Stays fresh and crisp for 9 days.
