Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. raw peanuts
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. soda
Method
- Butter one large baking sheet; set aside.
- In iron pan, combine sugar, syrup and water.
- Cook over medium-high heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
- Add raw peanuts and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture reaches hard-crack stage.
- Add butter and mix until well combined.
- Sprinkle baking soda over mixture, stirring constantly.
- Immediately pour mixture onto prepared baking sheet.
- Hold sheet at angle to make candy spread.
