Ingredients

  • 1 c. dried mushrooms
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped fresh mushrooms
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4 stick butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. flour (full)
  • 1/2 c. cold water
  • 1/2 c. mushroom stock

Method

  • Rinse dried mushrooms and soak about 5 to 10 minutes in enough water to cover.
  • Chop mushrooms and put in 1 quart saucepan.
  • Add cold water to cover, about 2 to 3 inches from the top of the mushrooms.
  • Cover; bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer and add fresh chopped mushrooms.
  • Cook about 1 hour until soft.
