Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 12 cup shortening
  • 1 12 cups sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 12 cup walnuts (chopped)
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 12 cups coconut
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 12 cup walnuts (chopped)

Method

  • Set oven at 350F
  • Beat eggs into shortening.
  • Then add sugar, flour, cocoa, and salt.
  • Add vanilla and chopped nuts.
  • Bake in a lightly greased 9x13 pan for 25 minuets.
  • Do not over bake.
  • Remove from oven.
  • Blend condensed milk and coconut and carefully spread on cake layer.
  • Bake again for 15 minuets.
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on the coconut layer.
  • When the chips melt, then spread evenly over the top and add 1/2 cup of chopped nuts.
  • Cool and let chocolate topping get firm.
  • Cut into squares.
