Ingredients
- 2/3 C. sugar
- 1 C. butter, room temp.
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
- 2 1/4 C. flour
Method
- Mix sugar and butter together.
- Add egg and beat well.
- Mix flour with salt. Add to mixture.
- Add the almond flavoring, mix until smooth. Cover and place in refrigerator, if too soft. Fill a small amount in cookie press. With the small star, make S, O, candy cane, or christmas trees.
- Place colored sugar on cookie. Make O's look like wreaths by adding green sugar and a small amount of red for bow. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly golden. approx. 8-10 min.
