Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. toasted sesame seed
  • 1 lb. asparagus
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 c. chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp. sherry
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 tsp. cold water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Method

  • Cut asparagus in diagonal pieces and cook a few minutes in 2 tablespoons oil.
  • (Can add chicken breasts.)
  • If you add cubed pieces of chicken, after stir-frying the asparagus, remove with a slotted spoon and brown chicken in oil.
  • Then add asparagus, sherry, soy sauce, chicken broth and cornstarch.
  • Stir and cook a few minutes until chicken is done and asparagus is tender.
