Ingredients
- 3 lb. cabbage, chopped
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 2 c. vinegar
- 2 to 3 medium onions
- 2 bell peppers (optional)
- 4 oz. pimento (optional)
Method
- Boil sugar, water, salt, mustard seed and vinegar for 3 minutes and cool.
- Pour all ingredients over cabbage.
- Let stand 12 hours and serve.
- Keeps well in refrigerator for weeks.
