Ingredients
- 1 c. Crisco
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. all-purpose flour (sift at least 2 times)
- 1 c. sweet milk
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. butter flavoring
- dash of salt (1/8 tsp.)
Method
- Have butter and eggs at room temperature.
- Cream butter, shortening and sugar.
- Sift dry ingredients together.
- Add dry ingredients and milk alternately, about 1/2 at a time, beating constantly.
- Add eggs, one at a time.
- Add flavoring.
- Bake in tube pan at 325° about 1 1/2 hours or until done.
