Ingredients
- 1 lb. sausage
- 1/2 c. chopped green peppers
- 1 c. chopped onions
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 c. grits, uncooked
- 4 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 c. grated cheese
Method
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Brown sausage. Add peppers, onions and celery; saute. Cook grits in water with salt. Combine cooked grits with sausage, peppers, onions and celery.
- Pour mixture into 2-quart buttered casserole. Spread soup on top and sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake 30 minutes.
