Ingredients
- 24 green tomatoes
- 6 large onions, sliced
- 4 c. vinegar
- 3/4 lb. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 Tbsp. black pepper, ground allspice and ground cloves
- 1 Tbsp. ground mustard
Method
- Slice but do not peel tomatoes.
- Mix all the ingredients together and cook slowly until vegetables are tender, stirring often to prevent scorching.
- It will take about 1 1/2 hours.
- Pour into clean hot jars and seal at once.
