Ingredients
- 1 qt. beef bouillon (2 cans plus 2 cans water)
- 3 c. thinly sliced yellow onions
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- grated Mozzarella cheese
- grated Parmesan cheese
- croutons or French bread, cut up
Method
- Saute onions in butter slowly, covered.
- Cook 15 minutes on low (not browned).
- Add salt, sugar and flour, stir well.
- Put all in crock-pot with bouillon.
- Cook 6 to 8 hours on low or 3 hours on high.
- Place croutons in bowl.
- Add soup.
- Top with grated cheeses.
- Brown a little under broiler.
