Ingredients
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 2 1/2 sq. unsweetened chocolate pieces
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 3/4 c. sifted cake flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. pecans or walnuts
Method
- Melt butter and chocolate in a double boiler.
- Cream egg and chocolate mixture with sugar and salt.
- Beat until the mixture is light and smooth, then add vanilla.
- Sift flour and baking powder. Add the flour and baking powder alternately with the milk into the creamed mixture.
- Work in the nuts.
- Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 375° for 8 minutes or until done.
- Makes 6 dozen.
