Ingredients
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. butter
- 1 egg yolk
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Method
- Mix flour and granulated sugar.
- Cut in butter with a fork. Add egg yolk.
- Mix.
- Form into 2 rolls.
- Beat egg white slightly. Brush it on the roll and then roll the roll in a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Chill 1 hour.
- Cut into slices about 1/8-inch in thickness.
- Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes or until very lightly browned (golden in color).
- Makes 40 to 60 cookies.
- Bake on rack higher than the middle of the oven.
