Ingredients

  • 12 slices white bread, cubed
  • 2 c. sharp cheese, grated
  • 1 lb. hot sausage, fried and drained
  • 1 lb. bacon, crisp
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 qt. milk
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • Worcestershire sauce to taste

Method

  • Butter an 11 x 14-inch pan.
  • Put half the bread cubes in bottom.
  • Add half the cheese, then sausage mixed with crumbled bacon.
  • Add remaining bread and cheese.
  • Beat eggs; add milk, salt, mustard and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Pour over other ingredients. Refrigerate 24 hours.
  • Bake at 325° for 45 minutes or until brown and done.
  • Serves 12.
