Ingredients

  • 5 butter-style canned biscuits
  • 5 medium apples, peeled and cored
  • 2 c. water plus 1 stick margarine
  • 3/4 to 1 c. sugar (depending on apple)

Method

  • Spray a square Pyrex dish or one large enough to hold apples. Roll out canned biscuit; wrap around apple and place in dish. Boil water, sugar, margarine and sprinkle of cinnamon, if desired. Pour hot water over apples and around in dish.
  • Bake at 325° until light brown; spoon hot liquid over apples while cooking and press top of biscuit down on apple when dough begins to brown.
